Section 498A—Cruelty and harassment—Conviction—Appeal—In-laws of deceased were acquitted for charge of murder and dowry death but mother-in-law was convicted for offence under Section 498A of IPC—Evidence of prosecution witnesses does not inspire confidence—Deceased had not committed suicide on account of either demand for dowry being made or cruelty being inflicted upon her—Trial court as well as High Court ignored the evidence of neighbor of appellant who was examined as defence witness—Conviction set aside.
