In October, the woman had accused her neighbour, Rajat, of raping her minor daughter at night. Based on her complaint, police had arrested Rajat under various sections of the IPC and Pocso Act. Rajat was sent to jail in October last year.
While hearing the case on Saturday, the court of special judge (Pocso Act) Mahendra Srivastava found the rape allegation to be false on the basis of evidence during the trial.
The court then imposed a fine of Rs 20,000 on the woman, failing to pay which will result in imprisonment for 15 days. The court also ordered that 50% of the fine amount would be given to Rajat, said Special public prosecutor (Pocso Act) Utkarsh Vats.
