Section 438—Anticipatory bail—Case of dowry death—FIR registered under Sections 498A/304B/34 of IPC—Applicant is mother-in-law of the deceased—Vide earlier order, the applicant was granted interim protection, after which she is stated to have joined the investigation—Case of prosecution that deceased committed suicide because of the harassment that she faced at the hands of her husband and his family, demands of dowry and the pressure she faced to undergo an abortion—In the personal diary of deceased, there were no specific entries any about incident where the husband of deceased and members of his family including applicant made demands for dowry—Investigation is complete and charge-sheet qua husband and brother-in-law of deceased stands filed—No custodial interrogation is required qua the applicant—No useful purpose will be served by sending the applicant to judicial custody—Anticipatory bail granted.
