Article 226—Writ—Issue relating to encroachment—Petitioner seeking directions to respondents to remove dummies and display hanger stand put by cloth merchants and other shopkeepers in the middle of street/area—Stand of respondents that the grievance with regard to encroachment on the road in question has been addressed from time to time—Action against encroachment was taken on four dates and will continue to be taken periodically—Submissions that encroachments are occurring repeatedly, in respect of which both the MCD and police authorities are maintaining a periodic vigil and action has been taken, including levy of challans and fines upon the offending shopkeepers—Counsel for respondent assure the court that vigil will continue to be maintained—In the event the problem persists, the counsel for respondents state that petitioner may contact the concerned SHO at the telephone number to be furnished by counsel for second respondent to counsel for the petitioner and MCD and the SHO will take necessary action as expeditiously as possible—Having regard to such submissions, no further orders are required in this writ petition, which stand disposed of.
