Section 138—Dishonour of cheque—Application to quash order taking cognizance—Matter compromised between the parties—Where parties settled their disputes and differences amicably, continuing with present criminal proceeding before the trial court would only amount to abuse the process of court of law—Impugned order of cognizance with all its consequential proceedings qua petitioners is quashed and set aside to secure the ends of justice—Application allowed.
